Wooley, EllaWashington, UT-Ella Leavitt Wooley was born December 22,1932, at her grandparent’s home in Mesquite, Nevada and died December 29, 2018, at home in Washington, UT with her family around her.

Ella is the third of six children born to Reuben Dudley and Vilate Sprague Leavitt. Her early years were spent in Mesquite. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Las Vegas, Nevada.

On September 2, 1954, she married, Jay Dean Wooley, in Las Vegas and they were later sealed together with their children in the St. George LDS Temple. Jay and Ella are the parents of five children; Jayne Ellen (Allen) Pulley, Judi Lee (Marlow) Plumb, Jill (Robert) Lupton, David Joel (Tracey) Wooley and Joni Gay Wooley.

Mom had a deep love for her family and was happiest with her family and friends gathered close. She was always understanding, patient, encouraging, generous and sympathetic to others in need. She assisted whenever possible and raised her children to be hard working and self-sufficient. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many capacities.

She is survived by her children Judi, Jill, David and Joni; 17 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren as well as her sisters Bertha Anna Sutton, Ruby Wilstead, her brother Dudley Leavitt (Linda) and, in addition, countless nieces and nephews who meant so much to her. She was preceded in death by her husband Jay and her daughter Jayne.

A viewing and family prayer will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 807 W Capilla Rd, Washington, Utah. Graveside services will follow in the Washington City Cemetery, 300 Park View Dr. Washington, UT
