If you asked Larry, he would tell you he was from everywhere. He joined the Navy in 1964 and served our country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1969. After his years in the service he spent many years working for the Montana Dept of Transportation. He was deeply involved in the Montana Hope project, creating positive memories for terminally ill children. For those who could break through the layers of Larry they would find he was more compassionate and caring than he cared to show. Larry loved his two dogs, Max and Snowflake who never left his side.
Larry is survived by his children: Larry Duane (Beth)Wolford, Karen Wolford Eckhous, Jan Lee (Dawn) Wolford, Sonjia Lynn Wolford, grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Harriett (James) Fyke.
Larry was asked in his final months what he wanted his family to know about him. “I want my children to know how proud I am of them and who they have become.” Larry is also survived by loving friends who looked out for him in his time of need, Rachel Talbot, Jewelee Humphries and Branson Gubler, and the many Nurses and Aides that helped Larry through the years. He would want you to know he appreciated all you did for him.
