Peggie Marie Taylor

May 1, 1926 — April 26, 2022

Peggie Marie Jennings (Taylor)

Born on May 1, 1926, in Murray, Utah to Lindsay and Katie Jennings. She was one of seven children including her brother, Jack, her sisters Beulah, Lucille, Beth, Donna, Shirley. She passed very peacefully on April 26, 2022, to join them all along with her only grandson Michael Koa and daughter Pamela Kay.

She had a quick wit combined with a kind and gentle spirit, an infectious laugh, topped with her signature “cheek pinch" for all her many beloved nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly. Ever a trendsetter with panache, she was a hairdresser with her own beauty shop at home in her earlier days, supporting her three growing children as a loving devoted single mother. Peggie took pride in taking care of her family and the neighborhood with her outstanding talents in cosmetology.

She was something special, sharing her inherent spirit of “Aloha†as she spent time between Utah and Hawai’i, living there with her two daughters. She also lived in New Mexico to be closer to her dear sister Shirley and family. She was incredibly compassionate, helping those who were less fortunate, always recognizing it and lending a hand, teaching her children at an early age to advocate the same. She was an avid tennis player in her younger years and loved her dogs! She later moved to St. George where she enjoyed living out the rest of her days surrounded by her dear friends and Church members who will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her daughter Lezlie, son Rick, granddaughters Lindsey, Haley, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed by all who love her.

She will be interred at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Salt Lake City, Utah close to her parents and siblings.

There will be a Celebration of her Beautiful Life on the Big Island of Hawai’i in June.
