Rea Dean Robinson Barlow

May 8, 1940 — December 6, 1940

Washington, Utah –
Our beloved mother, wife and grandmother, Rea Dean Robinson Barlow, returned to her
heavenly home on December 6th, 2021. She passed away at age 81 at home in Washington,
Utah.
Rea was born May 8, 1940, in Elsinore, Utah. She was the youngest of ten children of Mae
Hanchett and Jack Robinson. Rea grew up in Richfield, Utah with fond memories of playing in
her dad’s coal yard, school, mischievous fun and cherished friends and family.
She married her eternal companion, Burke Barlow on January 2, 1965 in Boulder City, Nevada.
They were sealed in the Manti temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on
March 27, 1976. They began their family in Junction, Utah, later moving to Heber City and then
a couple years in Arizona before returning to Richfield, Utah. After retiring, she and Burke
moved to St. George, Utah.
Rea had a passion for creating beauty everywhere. She was known for her talents in ceramics,
floral design, and everything creative. She often did local boutiques, featuring her creativity.
Even at 81 years of age, she still was creating and learning new things.
Rea worked at a variety of jobs through the years, but especially loved floral design. She
worked at flower shops in Heber City and Richfield and owned her own wedding decor
business, Rea’s Flowers, which she ran out of her home. She designed her own wedding
backdrops, did the florals, decor and linens, and even sold wedding dresses for a while.
Rea served faithfully in her ward, serving as Relief Society President, Primary President,
Homemaking callings and more. She was a committed ministering sister and genuinely loved
those she served.
All who knew Rea knew her ability to love those around her. She was extremely thoughtful and
giving. She was full of kindness and joy, making everyone feel accepted, loved, and beautiful.
Her teasing and shenanigans will also be remembered fondly. She will be greatly missed and
has left a void in our hearts.
Rea is preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings, Joye O’Berry, Art Robinson, BH
Robinson, Pauline Fox, Peggy Ann Robinson, Joseph Dan Robinson and Gertrude Robinson,
and grandson-in-law, Sean Kranendonk.
She is survived by her cherished husband, Burke, her five children, Sherill (Sandra) Barlow,
Jolynn Edwards, Weston (Melissa) Barlow, Richard Barlow and Candace (KC) Hafen, 10
grand-children and their spouses, 9 great grand-children and two sisters, Anna Mae Barnes
and Renee Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on December 18, 2021, at 11 am at Magleby Mortuary, 50 S 100 W
