Trudy Edmunds Anderson

Trudy Edmunds Anderson, age 71, transitioned peacefully in the loving presence of her family on April 20th, 2022, in Cedar City, Utah, after a brave battle from a recent stroke.
Trudy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 23rd, 1950, to Mary and Clyde Edmunds. She grew up with her brother, Bob Edmunds, and sisters, Shauna (Edmunds) Bruner and Tonya (Edmunds) Tetzl. Trudy had a fun childhood and loved playing in the dirt. She despised wearing dresses and preferred to run around outside. She was often caught splashing in the ditches or rolling in the mud. She truly loved nature, and that passion followed her into adulthood.
Trudy was an extremely caring and loving mother. She raised her two children, Jason Lanier and Denise (Lanier) Chatelain, in South Jordan, Utah, and later moved to St. George, Utah, in search of sunshine. During her time there, she met Ronny Anderson, her love and companion. They were married in 1991 and spent most of their time adventuring and having fun.
Trudy loved spending time with her family and friends hiking, riding horses, four-wheeling, and skiing. She was always prepared with the best snacks for every outing. She was also the ultimate cook, and most people knew her for the world’s best prime rib. Trudy had a knack for taste and left many outstanding recipes for her family and many generations to come.
Trudy and Ronny traveled back and forth from Beaver to St. George in the winter and summer for many years, always chasing the sun. Later, they moved to Kanab, Utah, to enjoy retirement and the small-town life. Trudy made a lot of friends throughout Southern Utah and was loved and cherished by many.
Those left to treasure her memory include her husband, brother, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered and loved forever.
