May 15, 1972 - October 3, 2025

Amy (Amelia) Lyn Stout returned to her Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Friday, October 3, 2025, after a joyful day spent doing the things she loved most, surrounded by the people she loved most.

Born on May 15, 1972, in La Verkin, Utah, Amy was raised in a home full of faith, laughter, and strong family ties. As the fourth of six children born to Sherwin Stratton Slack and Ruth Ann Eddington Slack, Amy developed a personality that was as vibrant as it was kind. She graduated from Hurricane High School in 1990 and remained a proud Tiger for the rest of her life. For the past 15 years, she worked at Hurricane High, where she continued her school spirit and found deep joy in supporting school events and building relationships with students and staff.

On June 6, 1992, Amy was sealed to her high school sweetheart, Laron Kim Stout, in the St. George Utah LDS Temple. Together, they built a successful life. They were blessed with three children: Jade (Matthew) Thomas, Nash Stout, and Morgan (Tommy) Stucki, who brought her immeasurable joy and always said they were her biggest achievements. Her role as a grandmother was the pride of Amy's life and she treasured every moment spent with her three grandsons: Knox, Miles, and Revan.

Amy was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Her most recent and cherished calling was working with the Young Women in the Hurricane 15th Ward, where she shared her testimony, enthusiasm, and deep love for the youth.

Known for her bubbly, loud, and playful personality, Amy lit up every room she entered. She was a natural hostess who found joy when bringing people together. From birthdays to holidays to Sunday dinners, Amy made every occasion feel special. She loved cooking, evening walks with her family, and being the first to offer help whenever anyone was in need. She was the kind of friend who showed up-every time.

Amy is survived by her husband, Laron Stout; her children, Jade (Matthew) Thomas, Nash Stout, and Morgan (Tommy) Stucki; her beloved grandsons, Knox, Miles, and Revan; and four of her siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherwin and Ruth Ann Slack, and her brother, Dallas Slack.

Her loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and laughter that her family is committed to continuing.
