Daniel Greenwell

Daniel Valls Greenwell, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Ivins, Utah, on September 23, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born on November 1, 1942, in Ogden, Utah to Fred and Florence Greenwell. Dan lived a life marked by love, hard work, and strength. As a young adult, he spent many summers working alongside his cousins at Grandpa Greenwell's farm. He married the love of his life, Joyce Low, on May 29, 1988, and together they built a home full of warmth, laughter, and shared memories.

Dan spent most of his career in the retail grocery business, where he worked as both an owner and manager. He was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and went on to win many awards in high quality performance including the Sustained Superior Performance Award from Hill Air Force Base.

Outside of work, Dan loved spending time in nature, especially camping and fishing with his family. He had a talent for building and fixing things, always ready with a tool in hand and a practical solution. Whether it was a home project or lending a hand to someone in need, Dan's skills as a handyman were matched only by his generous spirit. He was also a proud member and co-chairman of his local NRA.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce Greenwell; his daughter, Dani Greenwell/Clark (Jordan); his three stepdaughters, Kammie Schultz (Dan), Becky Moore (Shane), and Joni Kammerer (Ryan); and his faithful four-legged best friend, Olive, who rarely left his side. He is preceded in death by his father Fred Greenwell, his mother Florence Greenwell, and his brother Ron Greenwell.

Dan will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for family, and his appreciation for the simple joys of life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

At his request, an interment grave side service will be held to honor his life Saturday, September 27th, 2025 at 10:00am at the Ivins Cemetery located at 200 W. 400 N. Ivins, UT.
