Donald Lee Wilhelm, 67, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 comfortably at his home. Born in Flint, Michigan, to Curtis Wilhelm and Cassie Currier, he spent his formative years in Flint alongside four brothers and one sister.
A graduate of Davidson School, Donald enlisted in the Navy alongside his brother Larry, and upon honorable discharge, pursued a career as a freight hauler to fulfill his passion for travel. He cherished his 22-year partnership with Tina Wilhelm of Perry, Michigan. Donald proudly welcomed his daughter, Danielle Wilhelm, in 1984, and admired his grandson Tyler's decision to join the US Army, following in his footsteps. He played a significant role in raising Tina's children, Brittany Quick and Brent Whittemore, and later relocated to Utah, embracing the 'wild' west's natural beauty and warm climate. Donald enjoyed gardening and shared a special bond with his granddaughter Arabella through their daily gardening ritual.
He is survived by Tina Wilhelm, Brittany Quick, Danielle King, grandchildren Arabella, Tyler, Hailey, Logan, and Liam, and siblings Bob, David, and Cindy. Predeceased by his parents Cassie and Curtis and brothers Scott and Larry. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary. 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. 435-673-2454. Family and friends are invited to share memories on Donald's digital memorial page at www.SpilsburyMortuary.com
