Elvand Ray Begay Jr, 39, entered enteral rest on April 9, 2023, Elvand Ray Begay Jr was born March 5, 1984, to Elvand Begay Sir and Arlene Boone Begay, Elvand Ray Begay Jr married Rebekah Begay on September 11, 2004, in Billings, Montana.
Elvand was from Tuba City, Arizona. He attended Weber Basin Job Corps, where he studied welding. He graduated high school and got his welding certificate. Afterward, he pursued a degree in Psychology. In Job Corps, he met his wife Rebekah, and they moved to Montana, where they started their family and had three beautiful children.
After beginning a welding career in 2004 and joining the Air National Guard in 2009, Elvand was a family man and enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, watching movies, and playing video and board games. As a family, they would always play basketball together. He enjoyed rock climbing, golfing, drawing, and playing music while strumming his guitar. Although he was quiet, he also had a side to him that was goofy and fun. Elvand had relentless laughter that could not help but make you laugh. He was a kind and loving soul. He will be genuinely missed.
Elvand is survived by his wife, Rebekah Begay in Montana, his children, Aidan Begay, Isaiah Begay, Isabella Begay of Montana, sister, Lynita Hall Canda, and brother, Harrison Begay of St. George, Utah.
Elvand is preceded in death by his sister, Lenna Tahy.
Funeral services will be on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff Street, St. George, Utah.
Interment will take place at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah
