Listen to Obituary

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Holly Odekirk Ruesch, age 43, on March 25, 2026. She was born on December 4, 1982, in St. George, Utah, and spent her life in Hurricane, Utah-a place she deeply loved.

Holly was the beloved daughter of Sherry Bowen and Bob Spencer. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Robert Odekirk, who passed away when she was just 18 months old, and her beloved son, Logan Kaminsky.

Holly is survived by her loving husband, Gary Standifird; her son, Taydn Ruesch; her mother, Sherry Bowen; her father, Bob Spencer; and her brothers Shawn Kinser, Matt Kinser, Joshua Ferguson, Taylor Spencer, and Brady Spencer.

Holly shared a special bond with her family, especially her mother, her father, and her brothers. She loved her brothers deeply and always enjoyed catching up-especially talking with Taylor about the latest fashion trends and home décor. She also cherished the time she spent with her mother, creating memories together that she held close to her heart. Holly shared a deeply meaningful relationship with her father, Bob, who raised her. He had a special way of bringing out her silly side, and they shared many moments filled with laughter.

Holly made her living cleaning homes, but her true gift was creating warmth and beauty wherever she went. She had a natural eye for decorating and loved helping others turn their houses into homes. She found joy in the simple things-shopping trips, time with family and friends, and making everyday moments feel special.

She shared an especially close bond with her best friend, Kim-more like a sister than a friend. They spent countless hours together, from shopping trips to riding side-by-sides, going on adventures, and making memories wherever they went. If Holly wasn't with her family or working, she was often with Kim, and the two were inseparable for years.

Above all, Holly loved her boys. Being a mother was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent making memories with them. Whether traveling to new places, going on vacations, or simply spending time together, those moments meant everything to her.

Holly also shared a special bond with her husband, Gary. She loved riding with him on his Harley, exploring the outdoors and enjoying the freedom of the open road. Gary often said Holly never wanted to get off the bike-she simply loved being out in the world, experiencing life beside him. She also loved going out on the boat, riding the side-by-side, and even the quiet moments spent at home with him-any time together was time she cherished.

Holly will be remembered for her kind heart, her deep love for her family and friends, and her love for adventure and exploring-always seeking out new experiences and making the most of every moment. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and beautiful memories that will be cherished always.

A celebration of life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at 425 W Center St, Toquerville, UT 84774. All who knew and loved Holly are welcome to attend.
