Jack LaMarr Wasden, age 92, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
He was born May 22, 1933 in Filmore, Utah, to Ester (Esther) Lola Critchley and Kent Herman Wasden. He was married to Karma Kemp on October 25, 1952 in Mesquite, Nevada; they were sealed together November 25, 1955, in the St. George, Utah, LDS Temple.
He was raised in Filmore, Scipio, and St George, Utah. He played quarterback for Dixie High School and attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, for his Doctorate of Pharmacy. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and all things outdoors. He was a treasured scout master for 70 years.
He is survived by his children: Marsha Hatch (Mac) Idaho; Gary Wasden (Dawn) Utah; Lawrence Wasden (Tracey) Idaho; Shawna Gibbs (Brian) California; Krista Turner (Greg) Nevada; Brenda Butikofer (Paul) Idaho.
He is preceded in death by his girlfriend and wife of 80 years; Karma Kemp; his daughter, Sandra Kaye Criddle; his grandson, Richard Wasden; his granddaughter, Tamara Criddle; his great-granddaughter, Sunni Jean Wasden; his mother, Esther Killian; his brother, Raymond LeGrande Wasden; his father, Kent Wasden; and his step-father, Leo B. Killian.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints River Ridge Ward Meeting House,
912 S. 1740 E. St. George Utah, 84790.
Viewing: 9:00-10:30 am;
Funeral at 11:00am.
The interment will be at 12:30 -1:00 pm at the
St George Cemetery 650 E. Tabernacle St., St. George, Utah 84770.
