Jerold Williams

In loving memory of Jerold Nathan Williams.

Jerold was born April 22, 1960 in Hildale, Utah to Jerold Ray Williams and Fayila Blackmore. He grew up in a large family all of whom he loved dearly. Throughout his younger years, he was an exceptional student and a gifted athlete. He loved music, singing and was part of the Sunshiner vocal group.

Jerold fathered many children and was dad, mentor, and teacher to a large and diverse extended family. All of whom he loved as his own. He was a very calm and patient man who led by example and kindness.

He lived a life of service; building, remodeling, and repairing many houses and projects throughout the community. He had the skill, ability and vision as a builder to see his way through remodel projects that most would not even attempt.

He endured great heartache as the events of life created many years of separation with his siblings and then later with his children. His greatest joy in life was coming back together and being able to express his true heartfelt love.

Jerold's foundation was in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

He cherished his family and children; savoring each moment he spent with them. He made each one feel as though they were his favorite.

Jerold waged a valiant fight against cancer for several years, enduring incredible pain and difficulty; always staying positive and never complaining throughout the process.

He is loved and missed by a host of children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and many special and dear friends.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 23, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, Utah. A second viewing will take place on Sunday, August 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Harmony Building in Legacy Park (Hurricane Fair Grounds/Purgatory area), followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held afterward at the Isaac Carling Cemetery.
