In Loving Memory of Jerry William Sherman

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry William Sherman. Born in Emery, Utah on December 9, 1940, Jerry peacefully passed away on October 3, 2025, in Ivins, Utah at the age of 84 surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Geraldine "Jerie" Sherman, and their four daughters; Shelly (Dave) Person, Sherry Holverson, Bonnie Jolley, and Debbie (Cody) Hanson; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren - with one more on the way; His sister, Julie (Clyde) Zorn; and brother, Richard (Tammy) Sherman.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, William Fanklin Sherman; mother, Armida Keele Sherman; sister, Mary Lou Milano; and brothers, Bruce Sherman and Robert Sherman.

Jerry retired from the Utah Department of Transportation after 33 years of dedicated service, later settling in Ivins, Utah where he enjoyed his retirement surrounded by family and friends.

Family was the heart of Jerry's life. He cherished every moment spent with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His warm presence, sense of humor, and deep love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.

Our loving husband, father, and grandfather will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the legacy he left behind.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will take place the same day from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. and the burial will follow the funeral service at the Ivins Cemetery.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. 435-673-2454.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the hospice team for their support. Especially to his wonderful nurse, Daybrie, whose compassion, dedication, and kindness brought great comfort in his final days.
