Our beloved John Eugene Clift left us on October 15, 2022. He was well known through the Salt Lake Valley and spent many years working as a child psychotherapist at Intermountain Health Care facilities. He was an Assistant Professor for the University of Utah. During his tenure, he mentored numerous interns. His master’s degrees and accomplishments were in the fields of Social Work and Therapeutic Recreation.

He loved his family, his wife Vicki Clift; sons, Christopher Clift (Krista) and Ryan Clift (Angie); Stepchildren, James Brian White (Suzy), Jackie White, & Sean White (Carree), and seven awesome grandchildren: Alex Clift, Kennedy Clift, Conner Clift, Carter Clift, Addison White, Guilianna White, and Matthew White. John had one brother Jay (Pat), and three sisters, Gloria Shepard, Belinda Earle, and Marlena Griego.

John had a passion for racquetball and golf. He spent many hours studying and playing in tournaments. He was an accomplished racquetball player and was inducted into the Utah Racquetball Association Hall of Fame in 2003.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 5, 2022, form 2:00-5:00 pm, at The Meadow Brooke Golf Course Club House, 4197 South 1300 West, Taylorsville, Utah, 84123.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 Sl. Bluff St., St. George, Utah, (435) 673-2454.
