St. George, Utah - Kent W Seegmiller, age 77, passed away on June 22, 2026. He was born on May 24, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Fonda Lorraine Wimmer and Wendell Gifford Seegmiller. He married Dona Marie Craw on September 7, 1978, in the St. George Utah Temple.
Though he was born in Salt Lake City, Kent was raised in Rockville, Utah. He graduated from Hurricane High School and later served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Korea. He had a great love for music and enjoyed singing with his brother and sister and playing the guitar. Kent loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, hiking, and camping. He loved exploring and wanted to discover where every dirt road led. He also had a lifelong love of reading and learning, continuing his studies well into his seventies. Kent diligently studied the scriptures and delighted in sharing the gospel with others.
Kent is survived by his wife, Dona Marie Seegmiller; his children, Juliana and Lee Audd, Layne Seegmiller, Ryan and Michelle Seegmiller, and Patrick and Heather Seegmiller; his grandchildren, Lee and Abigail Audd, Christopher and Ayliah Audd, Melissa Audd, Jared Audd, Dean Seegmiller, Owen Seegmiller, Khian Seegmiller, and Krystal Seegmiller; and his siblings, Gayle and Arthur Hale and Terry and Jo Seegmiller.
A viewing and funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 1610 N. Dixie Downs Road, St. George, Utah 84770. The viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Tonaquint Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the kind and attentive care provided by Christy, Sarah, and Jonathan of IHC Hospice. Their compassion and service were a great blessing to Kent and his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a local food bank or hospice organization.
Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. 435-673-2454.
