Laurice (Lori) Susan Raya

Ogden, Utah – Laurice (Lori) Susan Raya, 75, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, with her loving husband Kenneth by her bedside. She was born August 31, 1946, in
Southern California. She was the oldest daughter to Antonio Lagna and Mary Scalora. She married Kenneth Raya on September 18, 1978.
Life sketch – Lori was raised in Los Angeles County, California, educated in local public and private schools. She lived in California, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Hampshire, and Utah. Lori worked as a line worker for an adding machine company and food service company, fast food manager, cashier, and Mail & File Clerk for the Internal Revenue Service. She also worked as a Tupperware Representative and Avon Representative She served as a Young Women’s Advisor, Young Women’s Secretary, Ward librarian on two occasions, and ensured the missionaries were assigned families to feed them. She liked crafts, reading, and as a child played the accordion and danced ballet. Lori especially enjoyed taking care of her husband Kenneth and her Tibetan Spaniels Meatball and Robbie. Lori was a loving and caring woman and will be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her spouse Kenneth Raya living in Utah; three children Darlene married to Rene Juarez living in Utah; Michelle married to Doug Kircher and John married to Kim Rigali living in Arizona; grandchildren Cherese, Daniel, and Adam living in Utah, Ashlee, Emilee, Nathan, and Abigail living in Arizona; four great grandchildren Isabella, Alex, Alexis, and Erick living in, Utah; sister Florence living in California. Lori is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Michael.
There will be a private family viewing on Monday, December 27, 2021, 3:00 – 4:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mount Lewis 6th Ward, 1150 N Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
There will be a public viewing on Monday, December 27, 2021, 4:00 – 5:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mount Lewis 6th Ward, 1150 N Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah.

The funeral services will be Monday, December 27, 2021, 5:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mount Lewis 6th Ward, 1150 N Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 So Dixie Drive, St George, Utah, preceded by a burial service at 2:30 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity organization of your choice in memory of Lori.
