Linda Wyatt 83, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, with her loving husband, Steve, by her side at her home in St. George, Utah of natural causes.
Linda was born on Ground Hogs Day, February 2, 1943, to Blaine Bird Wyatt and Leora Dattage Wyatt. She was the oldest of 5 children; a sister, Geraldine and three brothers, Doug, David, and Mark. She married Paul A. Thorpe and had three children, Perette, Jeffery and Kami. They later divorced and Paul passed away in April of 2022.
Linda grew up in Sunnyside, WA on her father's asparagus farm. She spent many hours in the field cutting (not pulling) asparagus. She eventually came to Cache Valley to live with her Aunt Della Parker.
She worked for many years at the Utah State University bookstore where she took great pride and joy in designing and putting together in store and window displays with beautiful flower arrangements and décor that she made. After she retired from the bookstore, she became an aid for kindergarten classes at Bridger & Ellis elementary school.
She always enjoyed doing things with her hands; she learned tole painting, calligraphy, and one of her favorite things to do was make arrangements and decorations with silk flowers. She loved working outside in her yard and planting lots and lots of flowers. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in several church callings. She enjoyed doing temple work with her husband, Steve.
Later, after several years of being alone, Linda met and married her sweetheart Steve Lyle and she gained a second and very loving family. They welcomed her with open arms. Linda and Steve lived in Logan for a few years and then later moved to St. George. She enjoyed her daily rides with Steve, enjoying the sunshine and seeing all the sights and of course, a stop along the way for a shake. Steve was by her side through thick and thin and was with her when she passed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Douglas (Debbie) Wyatt.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Lyle; her sister, Geraldine Carter; her brothers David (Ladawn) Wyatt and Mark (Donna) Wyatt; her children Perette (Lynn) Leishman, Jeffery (Jelana) Thorpe, Kami (Darrin) Nelson; her six grandchildren Casey, Marley, Madisyn, Makenlee, Shelby, and Lindsey; and 7, soon to be 8, great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by Steve's family and children, Jason (Marcie) Lyle, Jarmen (Rachelle) Lyle, and Shannon (Mark) Coawan; 7 grandchildren Scott, Kalie, Tyler, Colton (Joanna), Braxton, Brooklyn, Ainsley, A.J., Charly, and William.
