Marie M.G. Hampel

Marie M.G. Hampel, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Marie was born on February 28, 1946, in Büdigen, Germany. She married the love of her life, Rudolf Hampel, on February 17, 1965, in their hometown of Büdigen. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, family, and devotion.

In 1974, Marie and her family moved to the United States, eventually settling in Southern California, where she and Rudolf raised their children. Marie found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. She especially loved spending time in her garden, where she cared for her roses and delighted in picking fresh strawberries. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her garden and into the lives of everyone who knew her.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Rudolf Hampel of Hurricane, Utah; her children, Thomas Hampel and Angelika Craig; and her cherished grandchildren, Alex Rositus, Mikaila Carvalno, Jason Hampel, and Madeleine Craig. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on through them.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:00am at Spilsbury Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 25 North 2000 West, Hurricane, Utah.
