Marta Constance Dennis

Marta Constance Dennis of Hurricane, Utah, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2023.

She was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania on January 30, 1943. She was preceded death by her mother and father. She is survived by her sister, Dianne Dennis, her brother, Albert Dennis, her daughter, Susan Colwell, and son, Michael Lineman, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from massage therapy school in 1998 and decided she wanted to travel across the country and move somewhere in the southwest, though she did not know where. When she arrived here in Southern Utah, she knew this was the place and settled in Hurricane. She loved Southern Utah and Zion Canyon.

Marta had many loyal customers in her practice, people that she had really healed with her strong hands and spiritual strength. She was blessed to have so many benefit from her skills. She retired after 30 years.

She was quite a gal who loved life and all its challenges to the very end. Her laughter was heard often. She was always interested in others and interesting to talk to. She loved the simple things in life.

Her wish was to have her ashes spread near St. George. No service will be held.

A special thanks to Doctor Penny Emment DNP. Her care and dedication gave Marta more of the years she wanted to live so well.

Hats off to Aubrey with Enhabit Hospice and Staff and friends at Beehive Homes in Hurricane, Utah.

And finally, many thanks to Deb Watts, a good friend and one of the healed. She stood by Marta and helped her greatly in her later years.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. 435-673-2454.
