Olga Iris Medina Reyes

Olga Iris Medina Reyes 86, a resident of St George, Utah for the past 20 years, passed away November 30, 2025.
Born in Collores, Puerto Rico, June 8, 1939.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico. In 1950, at the young age of 11, she moved to Bronx, New York. When she was old enough, she attended beauty school to become a hairdresser. After a few years she bought her first beauty salon, Olga's Beauty Salon. Several years later, she bought Moulin Rouge beauty salon. Years passed and she went back to school, while continuing to work she got her Masters in Psychology. In 1978, she moved to California then in mid 2000's she moved to St George, Utah.

She liked dancing, spending time with family, traveling, cooking, and entertaining.

Olga was the eldest of eight children. She is survived by her 6 siblings and 50 plus great nieces and nephews. She carried the warmth and strength of her homeland throughout her life, building a legacy of love and family that spanned generations.

Olga was a devoted and cherished mother to her two daughters: Yilda and Madelyn. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her four grandchildren, who brought immense light into her life: Daphiny, Olga Gelene, Yilda Olga (Petunia), and William John (Billy). The blessings continued with her great-grandchildren, who were the delight of her later years: Brittnie Leigh, Jonathan Lee, Nathan Lee, Jennessa Marie, Alyssa Ann, and Alayah Jo.

Olga's life was a testament to the enduring power of family, the richness of her Puerto Rican heritage, and the love she unconditionally poured into every generation she nurtured. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to call her sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and titi.

Celebration of life will be Monday December 8th, 2025 at 3:00pm at First Baptist Church, 475 W. Buena Vista Blvd. Wahington, Utah 84780.

Professional cremation services were performed by Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. 435-673-2454.
