Orville Allred

Orville Clyde Allred was born in El Paso, Texas on September 23, 1947, to Clyde and Camilla Brown Allred. Before he was a year old in July 1948 Orville moved with his parents to Salt Lake City, Utah. He spent the next decade of his formative years learning and growing in Utah. He welcomed two little sisters during this time. At the age of 10 he moved with his family back to El Paso, TX to get out of the snow and be closer to the Brown family.

A few years later his father's work took him to Colorado. The family joined him there as soon as they could. They settled in Golden, Colorado. Their time there was cut short when his father passed away suddenly of heart failure in September 1964. The family returned once again to El Paso.

After graduating from high school in El Paso he moved back to Utah and attended BYU for a short time before leaving to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in the New England States mission. Upon his return he attended Southern Utah State College in Cedar City, Utah, and obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial technology & electronics.

He worked and lived for many years in Cedar City and then Salt Lake City. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He went hunting and had several archery bows. He enjoyed using his camping and hiking equipment including a couple of ATVs. He would play with and tease his nephews and nieces. He enjoyed going to the movies and enjoyed several vacation tours. A larger screen TV was a must, and he was rarely seen without a diet Pepsi in his hand.

Orville was a generous person, willing to help others with transportation and other needs.  He didn't need to be asked. He would see the need and step in to help. He will be missed.

Later in life he decided he preferred the warmer weather and moved south to Hurricane, Utah. He spent the remainder of his years in the sunshine and red rocks of southern Utah. He passed in his sleep from heart failure.

Orville is survived by his two sisters Camilla Ann (LaVar) Hadley and Doris (Michael) Oxborrow. Eight nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later time.
