Richard Holm

Richard Lyman Holm, 72, passed away peacefully in his home in Colorado City, Arizona on July 30, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer and strokes.

He was born October 17, 1952, to Carl Otto Nathaniel Holm and Florence Jessop Holm, in Hildale, Utah.

Richard was raised in the Short Creek community but spent summers working on his dad's farms in Idaho. He graduated from the Colorado City Academy in 1970 and built a successful career in construction with HB Enterprises, modular building and relocation with Tumurru Trades and in buying and selling real estate. He played a key role in developing infrastructure, serving as Vice Mayor, and fostering local businesses within his community.

Richard was a devoted Dad to his 21 children through his marriages to Shaunna Kelsch, Lorena Barlow, Alice Barlow, and Janeel Barlow Holm. He cherished his family. His faith in a loving Heavenly Father and our Savior's plan brought him peace throughout his life and rooted him in gratitude and service. Rich was a kind brother and a cherished friend to countless individuals.

Despite profound losses, including six children, his dad and several siblings and friends, Richard was resilient and always offered encouragement, friendship and love to those around him. He was an optimist and saw goodness in everyone. He had genuine care and concern for all mankind. He loved without limit. We will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his mother, his wife Janeel, his children Rick (Adrienna), Louis (Anjanette), Michelle, Susie, Jerry (Bobbie), Ada, Lorraine (Les), Lyman (Esther), Tawni (Jon), Nicole, Ryan, Karmyn, Justin, Logan, Garrett. 45 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, his children Sarah, Terry, Rulon, Samuel, Brian, and Riley.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, at 12:30pm at the Holm Heritage Center, 1065 N. Carling Street, Hildale, UT. A viewing will be on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 5:00-8:00pm at the Holm Heritage Center, and prior to services Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Interment will take place in the Isaac Carling Memorial Park, Colorado City, AZ.
