Ronald Stanley Elkins, a dedicated servant of the Lord, left his earthly home peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and his family on May 26, 2025 in Hurricane, Utah. He was born in Murray, Utah on July 4th, 1935, the second son of Charles Fredrick and Florence Leona Llewelyn Elkins. He married his eternal sweetheart, Lola Alta McLaren, on November 1, 1954.
Ron and Lola raised seven children: Rob (Leslie) Elkins, Cheryl (Curtis) Steadman, Gary (Terrie) Elkins, Terri (Mike) Cravens, Brenda (Phil) Watson, Ronda (Trevor) Anderton, and Michael (Sarah) Elkins.
Ron is survived by his wife Lola; his 7 children; 35 grandchildren; 76 great grandchildren with 3 on the way; and brother, Jim (Barbara) Elkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Elkins; grandson, Seth Anderton.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Canyon Home Care & Hospice caregivers for compassionate and loving care.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:30 am at the Heritage Building, 1178 South 700 W, in Hurricane, Utah. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:15 am prior to funeral services. Interment will follow at the Hurricane City Cemetery.
