Sharron Miller

Sharron Gayle Nokes Miller-Keller, lovingly known as "Little Bird," passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by her family.

Sharron was born on August 11, 1940, in Mangum, Oklahoma, to Enos and Pearl Pope Nokes. She grew up in Amarillo, Texas, and graduated from high school in 1958. Shortly after, she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she worked as a telephone operator-a perfect match for her outgoing and cheerful nature.

On December 24, 1959, she married the love of her life, Glenn Brent Miller. Glenn came with 2 daughters Paula & Karen, and they then added to the mix, 2 sons Kelly Glenn & William Joe & 1 daughter Nicole. They built a life full of love, raising their family in Texas, California and later Salt Lake City, where they lived for 23 years before settling in St. George, Utah. Glenn passed away on May 18, 2000.

Sharron was a devoted homemaker and active member of her community. She had a gift for quilting, sewing, cooking, and canning-skills she shared generously with neighbors, friends, and family. She provided daycare in her home, was the neighborhood seamstress, held many church callings, and was involved in her children's schools through the PTA.

In 1982, she began working in retail sales at ZCMI and later retired from Dillard's in 2004. During her career, she helped thousands of women look and feel their best-something she took great pride in.

Bowling was one of Sharron's lifelong passions. She played in several leagues in Salt Lake City and St. George, often serving as league secretary. In 2001, she began participating in the Huntsman World Senior Games, where she earned multiple medals over the years.

Sharron married Perry Keller, and they shared five wonderful years together before his passing.

A loyal Utah Jazz fan, Sharron never missed a game-recording them all so she could skip the commercials. But more than anything, she loved watching her grandchildren in whatever sport or activity they were involved in. Sharron had a whole flock of grandchildren and she loved them all, a Special Thank you to her favorite Jake Heaton for all that he did over the years to care for her.

Sharron is survived by her children: Kelly (Barb) Miller of Kennewick, WA; Nikki (Gene) Heaton of St. George, UT, Karen (Steve) Haslam

She is preceded in death by her parents, Enos and Pearl Nokes; her brother, Pete Nokes; husbands Glenn Miller and Perry Keller; Son Brent, her daughter Paula Wright; and her son Bill Miller.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 4 at 9:00 a.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at Tonaquint Cemetery.
