Sherry Ann Jimenez, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. She was born on November 9, 1947, in Tooele, Utah, to Enoch Moroni Peterson and Margaret Stone. On May 3, 1984, she was sealed to her beloved husband, Felix A. Jimenez, in the Los Angeles Temple for Time and All Eternity.
Sherry loved her family and was a devoted mother, who put her children first in all things. Born in Tooele, Utah, then moving to Long Beach, California as a little girl, Sherry developed a love for the outdoors. Sherry loved surfing, sunbathing, being outside and socializing with her friends. Sherry was outgoing and adventurous and shared her love of life and the outdoors with her children. Her children reminisce about lake days, long car rides, going to the beach and spending weekends outside with mom doing yardwork and loving the beautiful world God made for us. Sherry broke her back providing for her family and taught her children that no job was too small and that none of them was too good for the work placed before them. Sherry's grandchildren were her pride and joy. If you wanted to see Sherry smile from ear to ear, ask her about any one of them. Sherry's love for her husband Al was an example to all. From the day they met, Sherry and Al were an unstoppable force who faced every obstacle and challenge together with courage and faith. Sherry loved God and was devoted to the church and her work in the Temple. Sherry found great purpose and reward in her church service and believed with all her heart that she was paving her way to back to Heavenly Father's warm embrace.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Felix A. Jimenez of St. George, Utah; her children: Glen Sallee (Melody) of Phelan, California; Aaron Sallee (Nicole) of Perrin, Texas; Steven Sallee of St. George, Utah; Deborah Sallee (Amy) of Aurora, Colorado; Johnny Jimenez of California; and Margaret Wade (Edward) of St. George, Utah. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Glen Jr., Kaitlin, Sarah, Bradley, Brooke, Owen, Brohdy, Dakohda, Shakira, and Andrew, as well as her sister-in-law, Roselie Peterson.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Margaret Peterson, her brothers, Clyde Eugene Peterson and Richard Jay Peterson.
A private family viewing will be held on May 8th, 2025, followed by graveside services and Interment will take place at Tonaquint Cemetery.
